Database - Customize Your Own

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

This topic is for advanced users only! You may need to ask for technical help.

Here we explain what to do if you wish to work from your own in-house database.

For the database capabilities provided by FieldOne, see Database - Default.

Using your own instance of SQL Server:

If there is a need to use your own instance of SQL Server instead of using the supplied server, follow these steps:

Note: These instructions relate to installation, at the time you are using the FieldOne Setup Wizard:

1.Select Personalize Your Setup instead of Complete Setup
2.For the components you wish to install, de-select the Database Server
3.Specify the Instance Name (the SQL Server used by your Company)
4.Then use either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication to allow the installer to properly set up the database needed to run with FieldOne.

Note: If the FieldOne Setup Wizard has a problem with access to your database server, you will not be able to proceed further with the setup.
