Here we explain what to do if you wish to work from your own in-house database.
For the database capabilities provided by FieldOne, see Database - Default.
Using your own instance of SQL Server:
If there is a need to use your own instance of SQL Server instead of using the supplied server, follow these steps:
Note: These instructions relate to installation, at the time you are using the FieldOne Setup Wizard:
1. | Select Personalize Your Setup instead of Complete Setup |
2. | For the components you wish to install, de-select the Database Server |
3. | Specify the Instance Name (the SQL Server used by your Company) |
4. | Then use either Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication to allow the installer to properly set up the database needed to run with FieldOne. |
Note: If the FieldOne Setup Wizard has a problem with access to your database server, you will not be able to proceed further with the setup.
