Close a Work Order

There may be times when you wish to Close a Work Order temporarily, rather than Cancel a Work Order. You may wish simply to mark it as no longer available for continued work. (The normal finishing Status for a Work Order is Billed, after the Service Call or Project is fully invoiced.)

Both Canceled and Closed Work Orders can be reactivated.

How to Close a Work Order

1.Open the desired Work Order
2.Click the Actions button on the lower right
3.Click Close Work Order

Note:

In order to Close a Work Order there must be no items with a Sale Amount. All Items must either have been invoiced or have a Sale Amount of $0.00. Set the Sale Amount to zero for any outstanding items. This enables you to close the Work Order without creating an Invoice.
