Three of the commonly used Column Controls are sometimes confused.
Use this example to see their differences. Say that you have twelve Technicians available:
1. | Use the Tech Selection tool to choose (out of the twelve available Technicians) which Technicians will display on the Schedule Board. You can check them all, or only a certain group, leaving others unchecked. |
2. | Use the Set Number of Visible Columns tool to choose how many columns should appear at one time in the screen view. |
If you choose fewer columns than there are Employees (say, six columns for the twelve Employees), the remaining selected Employees are "in the background," available by moving the Horizontal Scroll Bar at the bottom of the columns from left to right, or using the Plus and Minus and Refresh Icons on the left.
3. | Use the The Technician Layout Editor to change the displayed order of the Employees, including the Unassigned Technician. |
For instance, you might wish to take the last Technician selected and place this person in a column space most readily visible to you.
In this tool you can also select or deselect the Employees who will appear, similar to the Tech Selection tool.
