Large Lookup, Add or Edit

The Large Lookup screen is a DataView screen offering Detail Display with a Search Panel to help you find the desired record. All the Lookup Manager Task screens use this format.

With large lists you can use additional DataView Menu Functions to sort and select during your search. For instance you could use a Group By Box to cluster entries into different types and categories.

Note: on some Large Lookups (i.e. Work Order, PO) there is a Simple Lookup Box to select from a list of statuses to be displayed. And on the Invoice Lookup there is a check-box controlling whether to display voided invoices.

Tip: To search for all records, leave the Search For box blank, and click the Find button.

To add or change a record on the Large Lookup screen (See also, Keyboard Shortcuts):

To add a new entry:
Click the New button at the bottom left
Or, click the Actions button and then select New
Or, use keyboard shortcut - Ctrl+N
To maintain an existing detail line:
Click to select a detail line
Then click the Edit button at the bottom left
Or, click the Actions button and then select Edit
Or, double-click a detail line to directly open the Details maintenance screen
Or, use keyboard shortcut - Ctrl+E
Or, right-click on a detail line to show an Actions menu for the record.

The Details maintenance screen will appear where you can add information for a new entry or change an existing one

At the bottom left of the screen are three buttons:

Actions - This button displays a menu of possible actions for this entry
New - This button leads directly to the screen for creating a new entry
Edit - This button brings up the currently selected entry for changes.

To close the Lookup Screen, click the Exit Icon (X) at the bottom right of the main work screen.
