Since Notes can be attached to many different entries, they consist mostly of a free-form notepad for each Note detail. On the Notes Sub-Tab you can enter any number of Notes about an entry.
This screen, with multiple details, is a DataView, where you can adjust the layout, print or export the data (see DataView Menu). There may also be a header panel above for the "parent" of the details, or a DataView Footer below.
Since the first row in the details says, "Click here to add new...." this is a Direct Data Entry screen, where you add or make changes to the lines themselves, using the Data Entry Icons and Paging Icons at the bottom.
Note: At the upper right of the screen there is a check-box called Show System. This determines whether to display System-generated Notes. The default is to have the box checked, to include them.

Date and Time:
The current date/time populates automatically when you start to enter a subject or note. Date of origin for the note, but actually any date you wish. Click on down-arrow for Calendar and Clock Helper.
Subject:
Text field - a short description of the topic of this note. (Use Spell Check Helper.)
Note:
Drop-down Text entry allows you to put in a long note in free-form text.(Use Spell Check Helper.)

Updated automatically with the Logon User ID as you click the OK button to exit this screen.
